Govern your AI and automate GRC for EU AI Act and ISO 42001 compliance
Anch.AI
Ethical AI governance and use-case risk assessment, now part of Asenion
What Anch.AI does
Anch.AI is a Swedish ethical AI governance company that pioneered a methodology-driven approach to assessing the ethical and societal risks of AI use cases. Founded in 2018 by Anna Felländer, it grew out of the AI Sustainability Center, a Stockholm think tank, before pivoting in 2021 into a B2B SaaS platform for responsible AI. Anch.AI's distinctive contribution was a structured, horizontally integrated framework for evaluating AI use cases and organizational risk across ethical, legal, and societal dimensions, with the EU AI Act embedded in its methodology, and it worked with public and private organizations across the Nordics to operationalize trustworthy AI. It raised $2.1M in seed funding led by Benhamou Global Ventures. In June 2025, Anch.AI was acquired by Canada's Fairly AI, and the two combined under a new brand, Asenion, which merges Fairly AI's rapid audit capabilities with Anch.AI's frameworks for ethical and policy alignment. As a result, Anch.AI no longer operates as a standalone product; its methodology now lives inside Asenion. Buyers evaluating it today should look to Asenion, while recognizing Anch.AI's legacy as an influential European responsible-AI pioneer.
